Do this if you have a custom domain for email!

Do you have a custom domain for email ? If yes, did you make sure it is safe from being abused by phishers and spammers?

Most of us will have a custom domain. It will be for various reasons like blog/merch/email. Make sure you set the SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.

Why is this important?

Anyone can send emails from your domain if you didn’t set SPF and DMARC records. Just having the SPF will mark spoofed emails as spam.

Do you need to set an SPF record for a domain that doesn’t send mails?

It will reduce the risk of being abused by phishers and spammers. if you set the SPF record as follows

v=spf1 -all
